It used to be that when I would get home from one of my Adventures without seeing a bald eagle, I’d be disappointed and regarded that outing as a bust, but now, with my renewal of my Adventures, if I don’t see an eagle, it’s no big deal anymore. Just getting to see new sights and spend a day outdoors lost in the world, that’s enough for me. I am noticing smaller birds, new-to-me birds, that thrill me just as much as a great grey heron or a bald eagle. So even though I didn’t see a ton of eagles this morning (although David spotted one on our drive home), it was still a beautiful day to be out in the Big Wide World.
